2010 Grito de Lares - Rally and March

Solidarity rally and march to commemorate El Grito de Lares of 1868 and the 2005 assassination of Puerto Rican nationalist Filiberto Ojeda Rios. Events included performances and solidarity statements in Marcus Garvey Park followed by a procession down Lexington Avenue, a stop-over near the Young Lord’s Party’s “People’s Church,” and a closing ceremony at the Julia de Burgos Latino Cultural Center.
